DK Quagmire made a topic telling us all that 'Madeleine Blaustein' (The voice of Meowth in the PKMN Anime) had sadly passed away in her sleep.
Meowth was (In my mind) the best character in the anime and I'd like ONM to do a tribute for her.
I'd like people to do the simplest thing possible.
Catch a Female-Meowth and call it 'Madeleine'.
Some may have to use Pal-Park.
After you do so, post here saying so and we'll see how many we can get going. _________________ I actually write this here so I can find my posts in the future, sad I know. |

Mr. Wii, This is a really nice idea :]
Im going to take part in this. Definately. Maybe some people should put some on the GTS? Don't know how many people would want a female Meowth though... :[ _________________ A night sky full of cries, hearts filled with lies. |

Its a nice idea, just it won't really work I don't think, and it won't mean much to anyone. Just a creepy Meowth named after someone who, no matter who they were in life, is now dead, and ultimately, you naming a dozen or so Pokemon after her, on a forum hardly anyone has heard of comparitive to the real world... Its not going to make a difference.
But I am very pessimistic, so you go and have your fun, and I will sit back and watch how things go. _________________ Team Record: 106 Wins 54 Losses 1 Draw

Whichever way you look at it, nothing there is wrong, and its either me being pessimistic or realistic.

The pokemon mansions garden can be used to catch Meowth IIRC, maybe I'm wrong though =/ _________________ Chained-Teapot is the Pokéforum hero.

Well, R-H does have a point, if it wasn't posted on Serebii, I doubt anyone would have known about this anyway.
And I don't really see how a few people on a forum catching a Meowth on a game which would then just sit in the PC forever is being that respectful when its enough to just say R.I.P or whatever. _________________ arceus469: Edd_15 is just a lonely little internet bully with no friends.

The fuss with death is that (applying to loved ones here) your losing someone close to you to another plain of existence.
Depending on what you believe, you might believe that you will see them again in over 60 years, or never.
Naturally to humans, death seems like a natural end. You assume that you'll never see them again, you'll never hear their voice touch your ears, you'll never feel the touch of their hand again.
If you don't want to make a fuss over death, that is of course your decision. But you have to understand why people think the way they do, and be sensitive to that fact. ^_^
On topic: I'm not going to do this, mainly because I've lost my DS. Partly because I'm too lazy. _________________ I am the original Dark Lemon. Only you can prevent Lemon fraud.

I didn't cry at my dad's funeral...I think I loved him...
Then again, that was after my mum's funeral when I was four...then my Gran's funeral when I was eight.
I can't remember exactly when my Uncle's funeral was, but it was after my dad's.
Don't attempt to lecture me on death: I have experienced more than enough of it in my 17 short years to understand it.
I have become desensitised to it through the numerous funerals I have had to attend, not finding sorrow anymore, but in it's place I have found the irony in death. And yes...it is humerous.
Thinking bac on it, my mother's death on the 25 of December was ironic, and I manage to see the funny side of it now. Obviously I would not wish it on anyone, and Christmas has been forever ruined for me due to that memory of finding her body...but I have let it go, I accept that there was nothing that could be done.
The thing is, they were all people I loved. You didn't even know Mandy or whateverhernamewas, why is it such a big deal to you?
The sooner you realise death is innevitable and that we should not fear it, mourn it or avoid it, the sooner you can get on with your life. Embrace death. When it comes time for me to die, I know I will. My metabolism has come to a cease, just like everything else, at least then I know I am human, that I am alive.

Dont think were trying to lecture you about death, because were not (well, I wasn't).
I'm sorry to hear about that, but people don't desensitize to words of death, only experience (as a general theme).
Everyone deals with death in their own way, whether it's indiference, alcohol, solitude, tributes or tears. You can't tell people to embrace death or not to fear it.
Of course death is a part of life, and of course we all have to come to terms with it, but until we actually die, we don't have to.
The reason that people are "greaving" her death is because she meant something to them.
It's life's little trick to play with and malform emotions. _________________ I am the original Dark Lemon. Only you can prevent Lemon fraud.

I'll tell you what this reminds me of...
While back, there was (I think that its still there) a video on Youtube about a WoW player who died somehow. Whether they commited suicide at the hands of the game, or otherwise died, it wasn't known, but his "friends" in the game decided it would be a great idea to gather up thousands of players, and get them to stand in one location all together, and basically just de-equip everything they had an mourne for a few hours...
Then a few guys thought it would be hilarious to wander in and slaughter the lot of them, and mass chaos ensued.
Basically though, the point I am trying to make is very similar to one R-H made earlier. The person didn't know you, and you wouldn't have known unless it smacked you in the face, which it effectively did, as Serebii informed you of it. Mourning the death of someone you didn't know is okay, just don't take it too far, and remember how "Amazing the person was in life", because you most probably never even knew the identity of the voice before this topic _________________ Team Record: 106 Wins 54 Losses 1 Draw
