Pokémon Platinum: Get Shaymin Today!

I just caught Shaymin, I have 2 now. This one and the Event one that was supposedly the only one that could transform, but oh well. Another Useless Shaymin i'll never use and will forever be confined into my Computer.

Next: Arceus.

Now he is going to be a ballache to catch, Hopefully the Arceus will activate the Arceus Event in Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

hopefully Nintendo will make Wifi events for Heart Gold so that Celebi is now actually available.

I've already got Shaymin as i traded him across from Diamond. Wont be able to get another one and transform him to his sky forme because of stupid WEP ONLY and i'm not changing my router settings as my wii will go offline

Although I already had a Shaymin, I thought I'd take a L:34 Luxray down and see how tricky it was to catch.

It was pretty easy to be honest, but it did heal itself of paralysis once due to a Lum Berry, but when I paralysed it again, it was effectively ready to catch once I lowered it's Health.

Caught in just one Ultra ball just a few minutes ago.

Tips:
-Try using a high level pokemon with false swipe, and only use false swipe as it leaves shaymin with 1hp everytime.
-If leech seed hits you switch the pokemon your using out then back in so it doesn't heal as often and you don't lose so much health.
-Using taunt can stop Shaymin from healing.
-Shaymin will always have a lum berry(heals status problems) when you fight it, so you will have to put it to sleep or paralyze it twice if that's your plan.
I hope that helps anyone struggling.

Got my Oak's Letter earlier this morning. I already have a good few Shaymin (about four different ones) already so I won't be bothering to catch this one until I've learned how to manipulate the RNG.

That was bloody easy to catch

I got it in my first ultra ball XD Only took a few hits with a level 30 to get into red too. Was expecting another hour long struggle like darkrai (trying to save my master ball for HGSS)

My Dakrai,Shamin and Arceus on Pearl and legit, so its good to have proper ones for pearl. I'm not gonna put any fakes on this game ^^
Just Arceus and I should be well on the way to getting that dex finished. I meant to do it on pearl but like wiimote I'm screwed with WPA settings that I can't change so I have to wait for HGSS compatibility to use the GTS again.

Well sorry to be the bearer of bad news but HG/SS do NOT have WPA they only have wep, I know this since I imported a jap version and as usual got told it's not compatibal with my router, stupid nintendo, and I really wanted a shaymin too.
