Gav, i know why you put kirby in, but it's cruel! Is Chris Kirvy's only liker on onm?
If Jack likes it, then then it's not Shloer they put inside those things...

No, I'm a huge fan of Kirby! They keep using my profile image for their articles!

Kirby is awesome! I agree with ONM. You don't expect him to be such a good hero, but he his. It's be sooo cool to have a Kirby backstory!

Yay good old paperboy!!

My thoughts exactly when I was reading this article. I'm surprised that Earthworm Jim wasn't on the list. I mean, he is a WORM in a super-suit from space!

When you think about it, most game heroes are totally weird. An overwieght Italian "plumber", his wannabe brother, a blue "hedgehog", a fox and his mates (a bird, a rabbit and a frog) with qualifications in advanced piloting, a gorilla with a tie(?), a little bald bloke with littlerer animal/plant/things, a guy who nicked Father Christmas' hat and died it green, a pill-consuming yellow circle, a boxer half the size of any of his opponents (and yet is world champion), something that looks like chewing gum with feet(mentioned in said article), a kid in a chicken suit and I'm gonna stop there to take a breath coz that's probably the longest sentence I've ever written...(inhales deeply)
WHATS YOUR BEEF MAN????

Most videogame characters lead a pretty boring life until something exiting happens (in their first game) then a whole load of adventures kick off. man their lucky :)
As you can tell, I like the 3DS. A lot.

Q*Bert was my first video game hero on my NES. I played that game a lot. Once i got super mario bros 3 Mario became my new video game hero but i still played Q*Bert. Then when i got super mario world Yoshi became my video game hero and has ben there ever since. Once i got kirby super star(for the SNES not the DS) Meta Knight began to rival yoshi for my video game hero but yoshi is still the winner.

Ha ha ha!
You are dead right, and that's what's great about games. I remember the game Trashman (ZX Spectrum? man I'm old!) which aimed at making our neighbour's everyday workload look like a heroes adventure.
Great to hear about Paperboy again! I loved that game! Is the N64 version any good I wonder?
More bizarre heroes I say! :D

Plok was the first game I had for my SNES and I thought it was ace. This guy was on a mission to retrieve his grandpa's stolen flag. He returns with the flag but now fleas have taken over the island where Plok and his grandpa live and have stolen more flags. Now Plok has to retrieve all the stolen flags, while at the same time there is a sub-plot involving a magical amulet. Weird I know!.

The main ability he had was to fling his limbs at enemies, which 90% of the time was cool because they would fly back to him. However on some occasions he had to sacrifice limbs, and could only get them back from finding a hanger that was holding said limbs. If that wasn't crazy enough, he could find 'presents' in the game that could turn him into Rocky and Sherlock Holmes clones for a limited period of time.

Surely that's quite unlikely!

What about going through the pain and anguish of death millions of times?
