Another year is coming to a close and as usual all the big game releases within the space of a few weeks in time for Christmas. It's not a strange occurrence, gamers know it's coming every year, but for many it certainly feels like 2011 could be the most expensive Christmas yet.

Too Many Games at Christmas

Postby Hienzy » 12 Nov 2011, 08:58

I'll be hoping for Mario Kart and 3D land on Christmas day, as well as Lego Harry potter. I have skyward sword on pre-order, although I may try and leave it till Christmas, so-as to replay twilight prices and finish xenoblade. Also, I might get the new Layton somewhere in-between, but almost definitely not at launch.

- Mario Kart 7
- Super Mario 3D Land

And I'll be getting Skyward Sword on release date!

Super Mario 3D Land and Skyward Sword (18th)
Kirby Wii and Rayman Origins (25th)
Mario Kart 7 and Pokemon Rumble (2nd)
For Christmas, I guess IU'm just gonna have to save up for 2012

Your family sounds awesome, you with your pokemon, your boyfriend playing mariokart and your mum puzzling through layton, I'm the only true gamer in my household, they never understand when I state that looking forward to the 18th of november more then half term
Anyway... in terms of christmas my most hotly anticipated game would have to be mario kart as I'll already have skyward sword by then :D Next is Super Mario 3dland, whilst watching some videos last night, a familliar tingling gripped me, my lust for mario platforming :D Then in a honourable 3rd place is prof layton, this will be my first outing in the series and I'm awaiting it with great anticicpation :) This really is a handheld christmas.
Hello everyone, the new missile the dog here !

I bought Sonic Generations for XBox360 on launch but the 3DS one will wait till next year. next friday I will be getting Skyward Sword with the remote and Mario 3D Land as both are pre-ordered. LEGO Harry Potter 2 will probably be a launch purchase too. Prof Layton will probably be next year too. Mario Kart 7 is pre-ordered and will buy that on launch too. I thought last xmas was bad but this year is the worst ever. Worst in terms of amount of fantastic games that need to be purchased.
Currently Playing:
LEGO Lord of the Rings (XBox360)
New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS)
New Super Mario Bros. U (WiiU)
LEGO Indiana Jones (DS)
Kid Icarus Uprising (3DS)
Looney Tunes ACME Arsenal (XBox360)

There are just too many games coming out between now and Christmas. Why release them all at once?! Next week, the big guns Zelda and Mario 3DS, joined by Mario and Sonic 2012. The week after that, Sonic Generations, Kirby and Tales of the Abyss. And the week after THAT, is Mario Kart. 7 games in 14 days. I intend to buy all these on launch, and forgo buying food, or sleeping, just so I can play them all in equal measure.

Getting Mario 3D on launch, and possibly MK7. For xmas I'm hoping for Dark Souls, Skyward Sword and Arkham City. Whoever attempts to choose a 'best of 2011' game is going to be hard pushed, though from all the reviews I wouldn't be surprised if SS got it, regardless of being on the Wii compared to the other home consoles.

I pre-ordered the Special Edition Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword bundle, but there's still:

-Super Mario 3D Land
-Mario Kart 7
-Uncharted 3
-Batman: Arkham City
-Sonic Generations (PS3 version)

GAHHHHHHHHHHH! :x

Still. Assuming I'll be able to afford all of these games...

Christmas will be INCREDIBLE. :D
Please remember that the when the apocalypse is over (eventually) don't start another thinking that no-one will care as much about it. That would be stupid.

Though nothing' stopping you... :) :)
