DSiWare classic coming o the 3DS eShop

Shantae, the excellent DSiWare platformer, will be making a return on the 3DS eShop with Shantae And The Pirate's Curse. Developed by Mighty Switch Force team Wayforward, the first Shantae game was originally released for Game Boy Color in 2002.

Shantae 3DS confirmed - new details, screenshots

I was going to buy Shantae Risky's Revenge on DSiWare, for my 3DS, at some point anyway. With this announcement, I'll wait and buy both at once.
Something's coming up the plumbing, poor Luigi's in a bind. Giant turtles are out to get him, Creepy Crabs are right behind. Spiders, flies. Jeepers! Yikes!, They're coming out the pipes. "MARIO! WHERE ARE YOU!!!"

It sounds quite ambitions for an eShop game. Good to see.
My love of WayFoward's 'Mighty' games, in particular 'Mighty Switch Force', is enough to get me interested. I think I'll have to get around to downloading Risky's Revenge first though.

On the subject of Shantae, I wonder if the Game Boy Colour game will make it's way to the 3DS Virtual Console.

Buying the pants off of this, the other Shantae games are awesome and this sounds more ambitious than Risky's Revenge. The whole Shantae world is one of the most fun and imaginative in gaming, and the concept of her being a pirate and using different weapons to travel is brilliant. I hope it doesn't take long to get a European release. I hope we see the original on the VC sooner rather than later, too!
