Disney Infinity 3DS is a 'very different experience'

So this is essentially a £55 mini-game collection. More than that, actually, when you factor in the extra costs of the other figures. Those are gonna have to be some darn' good mini-games!

Porting a console game to a handheld usually means awful, painful experiences.
Even if the handheld game of the console version is made on an entirely different engine, it is still doomed to fail.
This, it appears, is no different.

John Blackburn wrote:"It's more of a game you expect on a 3DS: You build teams with characters and they each have a mini-game that comes along with them."

No, that is not what I expect on the 3DS. Not at all.

3DS isn't powerful enough to run Disney Infinity, yet it is powerful enough to run Monster Hunter Tri? Wow, Disney Infinity must be one hell of a game.

Okay, whilst I don't like mini games myself (like many others), is not this that annoys me about this announcement - it's the fact that, based on what's been said, you have to pay for the mini-games separately AFTER paying the £55. At least with Skylanders you could play most of the game through without paying loads extra, but with this, it seems most of the content comes with the figurines. That is ridiculous.

I know i'll definitely be getting this on Wii U. The Toybox mode looks like it will be the main attraction. The game (console version) will be expanded through DLC and if they plan on putting the entire Disney Universe in one game...then no, the 3DS cant handle all that! Monster Hunter is big, yes; but it will never require the amount of space and memory Disney Infinity will add up to.

I'd rather get Disney Infinity on the Wii U anyway.

LOL at the title. 'Very different experience' = Flash games at a premium price.
